Walk On The Bering
Don told us all that wolf business is for scaredy-cats and took us out to the beach with him yesterday, along with his dog Shadow. We walked for miles, finding the smoothest rocks we've seen yet and finally really enjoying Nelson Lagoon. We listened to his stories about growing up hunting and trapping, of seven wolves stalking and taking down a herd of caribou thirteen-strong, and his drawings in the sand of an 11 foot tall grizzly's paw print. Over the horizon, we watched a Pen Air pilot enjoying the fine weather (flying in that way they only do when they are without passengers).
