During a spell of clear weather, we headed out through the backcountry to Sand Dollar Beach, which we had previously only seen from a distance. It started to blow snow (not ordinary sprinkling down fluffy snow, but gravity-defying blowing sideways and through the zippers of your expedition quality jackets kind of snow) while we were out there. We had never been on the beach in the snow, and it was beautiful. While we were out there, we collected rocks, driftwood, seaglass and bones to doll up our apartment.
