The morning after we had seen an ad for Cheez-Its that left us both large-eyed and licking our lips, we got a call from the post office telling us that our shipment was here. Almost a month after it was sent, all of our things from home had arrived. It included a few clothes, bedding, toiletries, and best of all, food. After unloading, we had a moment of silence in the pantry, beholding all of the tasty options. Sarah was tempted to open a jar of peanut butter and scoop it into her mouth with her hand. Jim says, "This'll last us, what? A month?" Responding to his wife's expression, he says, "Okay, a month and a half, then." As Mercer would say, Pa-lease.
